Tennis Court Rules1. Village Green tennis courts are for the Village Green members and their guests only. 2. All players, including guests, must sign the register with their full names and addresses before play. Leave the register inside the box. Anyone who has not signed in may be bumped immediately by subsequent players. 3. Guests within a fifty mile radius are limited to three (3) times a year and on weekdays only. House guests must be accompanied by a resident. 4. Play must be limited to one (1) hour when others are waiting. Doubles are suggested when courts are crowded. It is a gross breach of tennis etiquette to play longer than one (1) hour when others are waiting. 5. To maintain your turn on the waiting list, you and your partners must be present at the courts and ready to play. 6. Homeowners have priority after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends and holidays for one (1) hour play. Residents under eighteen (18) years of age, at this time will finish play in a maximum of twenty (20) minutes. 7. No skates, skateboards, muddy shoes, bicycles, tricycles, or other wheel toys of any kind are allowed on the courts. Do not allow your children to play on the courts unattended. The finish on the courts if very expensive and is easily damaged. 8. Put all litter, especially ball can tops, in the garbage cans and turn off court lights when not in use. 9. Do not lean on or strike the nets in any manner. 10. Only tennis shoes will be worn on the courts. 11. The courts close at 11:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted. 12. League and other special activities approved by the Board of Directors will take priority over all other play.
